Story & Vision

In mid 2013, Grow Organic Kids stepped on to the organic gardening scene in Arizona with little more than tenacity and vision.

On a mission to “seed and sow organic living laboratories and edible education in schools,” they went to work on grant writing, received a few and began gardening with students in early 2014.

Within one year, they crafted a world class team of permaculture experts and curriculum developers, designed and implemented a 6th grade permaculture curriculum, facilitated teacher trainings, had kids trying new veggies, planted organic gardens and orchards, hosted garden parties and planting days and reached over 2,000 children.

The program was a success and the school’s loved being part of the GOKids program. At the end of 2015, Grow Organic Kids put things on pause and went back to the drawing board in order to uplevel the mission 100X and take the organic, sustainable revolution in schools to an entirely new level.

As we prepare to re-launch GOKids shortly, we are ever expanding our team of staff, volunteers, donors and partnerships.

If you would love to be part of it, add your name and e-mail and we will be in touch. (Don’t worry – no spammy junk).
